SOFTBAUWARE GmbH – from its founding to an established, industry-specific complete ERP solution for the concrete and building materials industry as well as the prefabricated house & timber construction sector
The company was founded in 1993 in Langen (Hesse) by Andreas Hougardy as well as Klaus and Christel Hofmann, initially as a management consultancy. In the early years, the focus was on IT and process consulting for companies in the construction and construction supply industry.
With a focus on medium-sized manufacturers in the concrete industry, the construction supply industry, and the prefabricated house and timber construction sectors, SOFTBAUWARE has developed and established itself over more than three decades as a competent provider of complete ERP solutions.
Today, the software includes over 300 industry-specific modules and is characterized by integrated applications such as CRM (Customer Relationship Management), DMS (Document Management System), and BI (Business Intelligence). It maps the entire business process end-to-end – from the lead and quotation phase through calculation, project planning, purchasing, production and production control, warehouse and delivery logistics, to invoicing, controlling, service, and post-calculation.
Over the years, Softbauware has continuously expanded its industry expertise and gained partners and customers from various segments, including companies in precast concrete, the construction supply industry, brick and bulk material production, as well as the prefabricated house and timber construction sectors.
Another milestone was the strategic partnership with GESYS GmbH & Co. KG, which created further expertise in the ERP environment and a clear perspective for migration and further development—a step that further strengthened Softbauware's position as a future-proof ERP partner.
In March 2025, SOFTBAUWARE became part of the enventa Group—an alliance of specialized business software providers—and has since been further integrated into the group's product and solution portfolio.
This development marks the transition from a specialized, medium-sized ERP provider to a central component in the overall portfolio of an internationally oriented software group that offers and technologically advances ERP software for various industry-specific requirements.
